Kelly Mittendorf: Soft Aggression

"A Fashionable Fetish"
Vogue Nippon // December 2011
Ph. Paola Kudacki // Stylist: Aurora Sansone
Hair: Brent Lawler // Make-Up: Sil Bruinsma
Black, gothic styling and Kelly's strong expressions dominate this sensational story from Japanese Vogue, where the pastel backdrop gives a surprisingly quirky feel for the whole set. There is no doubt that few can carry such an only-girl story the way Kelly does here, bringing magnetic energy to otherwise still photographs. And just think - this is only the beginning for the Arizona native.

Lindsey Wixson: Yee-haw

"Spaghetti Western" (Select images)
Vogue Nippon // June 2011
Ph. Terry Richardson // Stylist: George Cortina
Terry and Lindsey's latest collaboration is quite a literal take on a classic cinema style. Photographed in Rome, Lindsey is the young explorer of diverse locales who eventually lands in the haven of cuisine - isn't that the story of every good vacation? Literal, yes, but also tongue-in-cheek (Or spaghetti-in-mouth, whatever).

Naomi Campbell: One and Only

Vogue Nippon // June 2011
Ph. Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin // Stylist: George Cortina

Is there anyone who can rock a cover like Naomi can? The combination of her pose and the unbelievable Gucci dress is an instant attention-getter on every newsstand, making the whole issue worthy of purchase for the cover alone. Every once in a while, she breathes much-needed "Life Force" back to the whole industry, and this photo is no doubt one of those moments.

Anna Speckhart & Gwen Loos: Two Sides to Every Coin

"It Makes a Difference"
Vogue Nippon // February 2011
Ph. Daniel Jackson // Stylist: Alistair McKimm

We kick off the new year with a story about dualism: which side of yourself are you prepared to become in 2011? For both Anna and Gwen, the soft mystere of their black&white photos versus the cool sensuality of the colored ones reveal that no matter how they are photographed or styled, there is beauty behind it all.

Eniko Mihalik: Garden State

"It was Never my Dream"
Vogue Nippon // December 2010
Ph. Sebastian Faena // Stylist: Sissy Vian
Around the beautiful locations of Montauk, Eniko becomes the most stylish young woman in town. The rich colors of Sebastian Faena's photography make even the most mundane of daily chores seem spirited, but as the story title says, perhaps Eniko's own dreams rest somewhere other than a suburban life.

Eniko Mihalik: Beauty & Warmth

 "The Winter White"
Vogue Nippon // November 2010
Ph. Raymond Meier // Stylist: Elissa Santisi

As warm as it was in New York City this week, we began to long for the days of Winter as soon as we set eyes on this new editorial with Eniko. When the weather actually gets harsh, we may change our minds about wanting the cold, but you really can't help but envy how comfortably enveloped Eniko is in the warmest outfits known to man. Better start stocking up on those coats and hats!
