Back Porch Video

Before the explosion of the blogosphere and Youtube, the “Porch Jockies” of Dearborn, Michigan delivered youth culture as a “Saved by the Bell” at a Black Flag show hysteria. Back Porch Video was one of the first cable television-based music video programs, premiering in January 28, 1984. The Back Porch Video Youtube page has a killer archive of footage from the historic late night “hardcore hour” and beautiful low-fi medleys of the whole BPV crew.
